V1024 Series
L2 Workgroup Aggregation Switch
V1024
series
switches efficiently solve workgroup congestion. The V1024 series provides
up to 24 10/100Mb auto-sensing/auto-negotiating ports allowing users
to create separate collision domains -- reducing bottlenecks and congestion.
The V1024 series connects easily to other switches or routers to create
cost-effective, high-performance solutions. The V1024 series is ideal
for office desktop environments, MDU/MTU, and wire closets.
The V1024
series is comprised of the V1024 and V1024MF. The V1024 is equipped
with 24 10/100Mb auto-sensing/auto-negotiating ports, and the V1024MF
comes equipped with 22 10/100Mb ports and dual 100Mb FX uplink ports
to offer fiber connection to data centers and corporate backbones.
Benefits
Simple
Configuration and Management
Setup Menu
provides simple, step-by-step instructions for custom switch configuration.
Supports Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Command Line
Interface (CLI) via console or Telnet. Both FTP and TFTP are supported
for software downloads.
Media
Interfaces
The V1024
comes with 24 10/100Mb auto-negotiating ports, and the V1024MF provides
22 10/100Mb Ethernet ports and 2 100Mb FX ports. Both models support
full-duplex mode.
Wire
Speed Performance
Eliminates
switch bottlenecks by delivering up to 4.8 Gbps throughput on all Ethernet
ports and 3.6 M packet per second (pps) aggregate packet rate at wire
speed.
Port
Trunking
Provides
multiple parallel active links for high-speed connections. Can be configured
to trunk up to 4 Ethernet ports, which provide a total aggregate bandwidth
of 800Mbps.
Traffic
Control
Support
IEEE 802.3x flow control mechanism, preventing packet loss by sending
a frame back to the source in full duplex mode.
Packet
Switching
Supports
Store and Forward switching to balance throughput when networks are
busy and multiple packets are directed to the same port at the same
time.
MAC
Address Management
Supports
MAC address table maintaining up to 2,048 MAC addresses per switch
Switch
Stacking
Supports
switch stacking to address scalability requirements while allowing single
IP management (point of access) to configure, manage and monitor the
entire stack.
Virtual
LANs (VLANs)
Supports
standard IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, and allows packet forwarding only
between ports belonging to the same VLAN.
